Gun control advocates speak out after temple shooting
Wall Street Journal: The international Sikh community was left reeling after Sunday’s shooting in Oak Creek, Wis. left six worshipers dead.
On Monday, Mayor Bloomberg of NYC led calls for stricter gun control legislation nationwide. Bloomberg spoke at the Sikh Cultural Society in Queens.
“No matter who you are, no matter where you’re from, no matter what religion you profess, you have a right to be safe in your homes, in your places of worship and in the streets of New York City,” Bloomberg said. “We have no tolerance for intolerance.”

Quite right. We have the right to be safe. We have no tolerance for intolerance.
I dare to say that the London Olympic Games is the worst one I(just I) have ever seen, from any aspects.
I’ve argued for years that culture matters as much as technology when you’re designing new products. Being surrounded by roboticists and synthetic biologists is a great inspiration to look for novel technical inspirations, but it’s worth trying these ideas out in the field early and often. While it’s frustrating to discover that many of my assumptions were wrong in pursuing this project, it would be vastly more frustrating to learn this six months from now, having developed an inappropriate prototype for the wrong market.
